Hey I was downloading that pic above and something from one of those websites added like half a gig to my hard drive. On top of that my text under my C drive turned blue, and some of the text of the sub folders turned blue also. I tried doing a system restore and that actually took more space on my hard drive. Does anyone have any idea on how I can get things back to normal? a.k.a. no blue text on my folders and get some of this apparently hidden information off of my hard drive?

when you ae running out of space xp will start compressing files/folders if that option is enabled .

right click on the drive and disable compressed files/folders and the blue will go away

make sure you have enough space

Thats odd, I have 56gigs left on a 60gig partition. I must have clicked something by accident. My shared documents file still has blue text. Do you know the best place to look for files when files keep building up on my hard drive when surfing the net. When I do a disk clean up it doesn't seem to get everything, and I check my temp folder every so often that helps but not always.
