Another curiosity about the hands - try this:

1) Lay your hand flat on a table palm-down.
2) Close your fist keeping the heel of the palm still on the table.
3) Extend your index finger only. Now raise just the index finger off the table. Close your fist again.
4) Repeat it for the other three fingers, only extending one finger at a time, and let me know what happens
