  1. Is it possible to manually enter a key code into smart ripper? I am trying to rip a damaged disc, but it can't find the Key Code on one of the VOB files. I know the code is the same for the whole disc, so if I could manually enter it hopefully SR will be able to rip the VOB successfully. Is this possible??

Well you said it yourself, the disk is damaged. If it can't find the code its most likely because it can't read the vob at all, in which case you can't access the file, whether its encrypted or not. I'm pretty sure smartripper doesnt allow you to enter codes manually, you would probably have to edit the program itself to do this and like I said, I doubt it would work. You might want to look into investing in a "disk doctor" type product to repair that disk.

  3. Under settings you can set key-search to once. If it can get the first it will use that for the rest.

  4. I managed to get the disc ripped by using VOBdec. I found out that it allows for the manual insertion of Code Keys. It's a bit of a pain trying to get it to run from a command line with the right switches, but ... IT WORKED!! I now have the file ripped perfectly and encoded into VCD format.
