Is there any software that can read a DVD-R disk and tell what UDF format was used to burn it? What UDF version does Nero 5.5.6.9 use,the template doesn't allow you to select the UDF.

You can change the template version by selecting DVD-Rom (UDF), and then clicking on the UDF tab. It uses version 1.02 by default. I think you can actually view a disc's UDF version by placing the disc in the drive, and then selecting RECORDER -> DISC INFO.

I've done this with a few store bought DVD's a while back. I want to say they showed up as UDF/ISO (UDF Bridge), but I wouldn't swear to it. It was a long time ago. If you use a mixed DVD with both formats (UDF Bridge), you'll have the best chance of being compatible with most players and PC's, but the DVD-Video format is supposed to use UDF only.
