  1. Just wondering how you all keep track of all your passwords and serial numbers?

I just did a count of my current list of usernames and passwords and I have 11 different usernames and 27 different passwords. I keep them all in a text file that has a non txt extension in a folder that is encrypted. So I only need to keep track of 2 username/passwords. I keep all my serial numbers in a basic text file in the same encrypted folder.

The hassle comes when I have to change my passwords. I do it no matter what every 30 days, except for a couple that I really don't care it they get cracked

I just use things I'll remember.

For serials I just keep a print out of all of them by the computer

I use a scheem to generate passwords such that I only need a number to generate or remember a pasword. Hence I can openly display my passwords as numbers. i.e. #6

when i got little to do i'll go thru the password file for a nosey,

dont you just love ERP systems that dont encrypt password files.

i made one managers password "RichardHead" cause he was one

usually after a long weekend i get calls that the system is broken and is not accepting their password

I try to keep most of my passwords uniform and just have a few variations. Like I care if someone breaks into my AOL account and uses it for perverted things. Hell, I use it myself for ever more perverted things, so they would probably never notice. I am very careful with my bank, credit card passwords, but I could care less if someone were to log into my 'THINGS TO DO WITH MY SHEEP IN MY ROOM AT NIGHT.COM' account. (Capmaster gave me the URL.)

Edit: Just kidding about the AOL. I use cable.

  24. I keep mine in my head, but I can never remember my online banking details so they're kept under heavy encryption. All I need to remember is a 56-character long key, but I memorised that so it's not a problem.

One password to rule them all etc..

I stick my work usernames and passwords to the front of my PC in the office, still get the occasional twat phoning me when I'm off asking for my email password or something similar.

I post them here so I always know where to find them. I have a system that encrypts them as twisted posts. And you thought I was just having fun.
