  1. ok just when i want to do something simple this has got to happen!
i was joining some movies together (the movies are 2 files, 700 megs each) with vdub using append avi , direct stream audio and video and save. some came out just fine, the audio video all that were flawless.
    BUT

then on some i get this awfull full blown screech/PING kinda sound at the point of append and on some ocasions i also get the volume go down after that. the video seems fine just the audio does a whack job on me!

any way around this damn problem? i know i can hammer away at goldwave and get the right result but theres gotta be an easier solution. (as in some setting in virtualdub/nandub) anyone?

output the audio of each to wave (audio - full processing mode - save wav) then link the two waves together in goldwave or cooledit. then use the linked wave as your audio input in Vdub.
