  1. MODS - Apologies if this is in the wrong forum. Please move if needed.

Just wanted to give my thanks and appreciation for this great site. With the guides and knowledge available on this site and in the forums, I was able to successfully encode and burn a 6 episode disc (6 - 45minute DivX files) complete with a menu and Play All function.

For the record, I used Main Concept 1.4 for the encoding (Files were PAL - converted them to NTSC 352x480, VBR - 5000 max, 300 min, 2500 average) using mp2 audio (all of my players support this). I used DVDLab for the authoring and menus, IFOEdit to add the Play All function, and DVDShrink to fit it on a DVD-R (total was slightly over 5GB, and I noticed no change from the encodes to the Shrink re-encodes). Total project time was about 6 hours (about 2 to learn and read the guides) and I am super pleased with the results.

So for all those that make the great guides - your work does not go un-noticed!!!

Now I can start authoring that band DVD I wanted to do...

    Thanks again,
    -Ceedj

  3. Congrats!

I still remember my first success of burning a disk. It was very exciting.

    Good luck with your band!
