    i'm trying to convert a movie to put onto dvdr.
    I've tried to put the movie into TMPGEnc video source but i get a message saying "movie.avi cannot open or unsupported"
    Any help please.
    When i look at the movie file properties-summary it says 'video compression XVID' so i don't understand if its an avi or xvid file.

    XviD is a type of AVI. Click here to deal with "File not supported" error.

    i had to install the divx codec and all is ok now.
