  1. Everytime I try to convert some VCD's to DVD in Tmpgenc, the video is slightly jerky. Normal scenes are okay, but where the footage "pans" across, it is noticabely jerkier than the original.

    I've tried low bitrates, and high bitrates, but both give the same result.

    What other options to change that might stop the jerkiness?

    Why bother converting to DVD? Just de-multiplex (Mpeg-Vcr), resample the audio from 44k to 48k (Headac3he), multiplex back again (Mpeg-Vcr), author and burn to DVD and they should play fine.
