    well iv just gotten my first DVD burner and id like to start to burn some of my movies i have downloaded. the majority are in dviX format... iv been reading the conversion section but there is all this mention of other stuff and its getting me confused... i dont know where to begin. is there a noob guide to this or any really good articles for a noob? im sure there is so can someone direct me to one? THANKS sooo much for any and all input

    You might take a look at this guide:http://www.lancey.info/tutorial/divx2dvd.html. I don't do this conversion myself, but the guide uses Virtualdub and TMPGEnc encoder and that seems one of the best ways to get to a DVD MPG file. You would also need authoring software; TMPGEnc DVD Author is popular.
