Can anybody point me to a guide or suggest any tips on how to "resize" subtitles ripped from DVDs?
My goal is to fit about 6 hours of VCD-quality (352x240 1150kbps) video on one DVDR (NOT trying to make a VCD). I have no problem re-encoding the video and audio part. But I am having problems with the subtitles. I need to know how to "resize" the subtiles from a DVD (720x480) to fit onto my newly encoded 352x240 video. I know how to demux the subtitle file (.SUP) from it's .VOB files (with VobEdit) but have no idea how to re-encode/resize the text/bitmaps inside the .SUP file. I have downloaded and tried quite a few subtitle tools (Srt2Sup, Subtitle Workshop, SubRip, VobSub, SubtoSup, SupRemap...) but still no luck figuring it out.![]()
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Aiiyaa!

Hi,
You can do this:
1) You need to RIP the subtitles using SubRib into a SRT file.
2) You then need to recreate the subtitles using Srt2Sup (see my home page for info on how to make subtitles for smaller screens
3) Reauthor your DVD
