I posted a similar post yesterday, jpeg to vcd. I actually found that this is not what I wanted. I want to put jpgs on a dvd to paly on my dvd player. I was able to do this with dvdbuilder, but it added alot of fluff. I dont need transitions, audio etc. What would be the easiest way to do this? I am looking for freeware. I downloaded some trialware that was pretty complex.

its not free (but dang close if you buy version 5.5) and you may have it already. Nero will make simple slideshow disks. Nothing fancy, but it does not sound like you are looking for that much.
Using Nero express, choose to make a VCD and just add the pictures instead of videos."A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."

I imagine you'll have to do it the old fashion way of ripping the dat to mpeg, resample the audio(if any), and re-author to DVD. Instead of wasting a CD you might as well burn as an image with the image recorder.

Unfortunately teegee is right. Nero won't make a DVD of it without other programs to help, just VCS/SVCD. But I don't think its hard to turn a vcd into a DVD (never done it myself).

It's not so bad. At least you don't have to re-encode the video so that's a plus.
