Exactly what the subject is. I have a .mpg file encoded through TMPGEnc and would like to use parts of it for a new project. I am using Premiere 6 to edit my new project and need to import it and take what I need.
How can I convert this file to something that Premiere will let me use? I think uncompressed .avi would be the best, or dv.
Thanks for any help.

When trying to open the mpg file in VitualDub I get an error message, it reads: MPEG Import Filter: pack syncronization error.
Is there possibly something wrong with my file? It plays just fine in MediaPlayer, how can I remedy if there is? -
Not the regular virtualdub, but this one: http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/index.html
