Problem: My camera resets the timecode on my tape when recording. Why?
Is it because I view my footage mid way through recording? Then I go past the stop point, lose the time code of where I was at, and it then resets itself?
This reset is very annoying when trying to batch capture in Final Cut Pro.
I read the manual with my camera and came up empty.
Anybody got pointers?
Thanks.

Everytime you begin a recording on a blank tape, you record timecode as well. The only way to avoid this is to record on a tape that is not blank. Insert a blank tape, leave the camera lens cap on, and record over the entire tape. The tape will remain blank, but will have timecode on the entire tape.
Then no matter what you record, the timecode won't change.Hello.
