    HI all. Any one knows the software to convert avi1 to avi type 2. I saw somewhere a yr ago but forgot now. Thanks.

    I wouldn't use VirtualDub to do that. The only difference between the 2 file types are the headers. Ulead also had a conversion utility (free download) as all their applications use type 1 but some competitors do not like it (don't try to import DV type 1 into Premiere.)
