  2. What was it that you decrypted, and what did you use to rip the DVD?

It's just that I've never seen a DVD video disc form an ISO when ripped, which makes me think it is a game or something. Is that it?

In answer to your question, if it's less than 4.3GB or so (whatever will fit on a DVD+/-R) then you can just burn it. Why not try feeding it into Nero (for an ISO you may have to select "All file types" in the window Nero gives you for browsing for the image file). If it will fit, Nero will allow you to go ahead and burn it.

    Hi Cobra,

I was just messing about really, and was trying to burn Bridgit Jones which i have on DVD.
It said it was write protected so i took it in the decripter programme and then it said it will put it as a ISO file image.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Cobra & prinbird - A lot of apps allow you to write the actual files in the DVD folders, or as an ISO.

To burn, go into Nero and select "Burn Image" from the menu:

Then you can point it to the .ISO file and it'll start burning

  5. EDIT - Capmaster beats me to it again.

I thought it might do that. However, this is a commercial DVD and may require shrinking with DVDShrink or something. You may have missed it because this seems to be a fast-moving thread.

    ORIGINAL POST:

OK, try this. Delete the file you created, and use DVD Dectrypter to rip the DVD. You'll end up with a load of files, the largest being .VOB - these hold the actual film and various other movie sequences the DVD uses.

If you want to be converting to DivX or SVCD etc. then in DVD Dectrypter you'll find an option in one of the menus that says "Select main movie files" - this will save you time in ripping and also gives you just the files you need.

If you want to copy the whole lot to DVD, just rip the whole thing with DVD Dectrypter.

Most commercial DVDs are copy protected using a system called CSS (Content Scrambling System). Rippers like DVD Dectrypter can defeat this and copy the data over.

  8. As far as I'm aware Shrink doesn't open up ISO files - personally I'd start again and use decryptor but you could always mount the image and see if Shrink would open that up ?

What program are you using to decrypt ?

My guess is its DVD Decrypter and its set to ISO Read Mode.
    If in doubt, Google it.

I remember myself and a lot of other people telling you a couple of days ago that you need to be more descriptive. It helps us help you if we know what you have done and what you are trying to do with details. It also helps to check the guides section and the faq as they will provide the answer to most of your questions and be a lot quicker about it.

I would suggest following a guide. There are plenty to the left in the DVD Backup section, or try my guide here.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  13. You got a couple of options you can to get your movie on a disc. You can rip the movie again with decrypter in file mode. That will create a video_ts directory which contains all of your movie vobs, ifos, etc... You can import the video_ts into dvd shrink and it will shrink the movie to fit on your disc.

You can also use a program such as isobuster to mount the iso that you have already created. From there you can extract the movies files and then use the same process as above.

When using shrink you can set it to burn with nero when the shrink process is complete. You can also create an iso and use many programs to burn that to disc. Decrypter will burn your iso to disc if you choose to do that, you just have to choose iso write mode.
