  2. Darkone,

Here's a guide to converting XviD with AC3 audio to VCD. If you follow the first part up until the point where you have converted the audio from AC3 to WAV, then you can go ahead and follow any guide that covers conversion of AVI to MPEG-2.

This is the guide detailing how you convert your audio, if you want to use any other MPEG-2 encoder than TMPGEnc

This guide covers conversion of an XviD with AC3 to MPEG using TMPGEnc

I found both these guides in the "Convert" section on VideoHelp.

If you want to be able to play back an AVI with AC3 audio on it on your PC, I believe you need to install AC3Filter, but don't hold me to that one.

    Hope this gets you going,

    Cobra

  4. I am trying to convert a 7GB film which I downloaded from Kazaa, using TMPGENC i am able to load the file into TMPGENC however at step 5 Bitrate setting, it tells me the file size is 167%, I subsequently continued with the encoding process to find the MPEG2 file had no audio or picture after a few minutes. I have tried to reduce the bitrate setting but it won't allow me to reduce it to below 3000.
The original settings were on PAL(16:9) MPEG1 Layer II audio (MP2) and then PAL MPEG II audio (MP2)

I am now at a loss what to do next. What do the experts suggest.
