Normally the disk writing which when partially writen, the disk has a sharp looking demarkation where writing definitely stopped. My friends Pioneer a05 has developed a fault where at 4* writing 4* disks it records ok (as far a the writing software and drive reports) but wont play past what appears to be a fade out of laser writing. The demarkation area is large and sort of fades from the written section to the unwritten section at about 60% through the disk.
Yet a burn at 1 times seems ok. I suspect a weak laser which uses less power and less heat at lower speeds. Any one had this problem?
