    Hello everybody,

I own a Sony DCP-PC1e PAL camcorder, which outputs 720x576 avi DV footage.

    I'm seriously considering to buy a more sophisticated one, e.g.Panasonic NV-GS200 (3CCD : 3*540000 effective video pixels).

There is one thing that puzzles me on these megapixel cam's : do they output 720x576 DV footage files ?

If so, then I can still use my EZDV board, which is designed for 720x576 PAL DV, CCIR 601 footage.

thanks for any info, helping me out off confusion.

Of course they can output PAL 720x576 footage. As far as I am concerned all the new small 3ccd cams are cheap and If you are going to invest over 1000 in a new cam you might as well ante up another 1000 and get a real 3ccd camcorder. Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks for your hint Troyvcd1,

I just came across the NV-GS400 from Panasonic, 4 megapixel cam (3*970000 pixels for video) quite impressive! Should be released around 1700 euro via internet sales.
