Someone please help me find a guide i remember seeing here at one time. It detailed how to fix an audio sync problem when the drift was a constant amount (ie. *not* a progressive audio sync problem) but the actual displacement of the audio to video amount was unknown.

It showed how to get the image and a wave of the sound up at the same time and the procedure involved finding a bit in the video like a door being closed where you could obviously tell exactly where the sound and video were supposed to match up perfectly, then calculating the drift using that point to shift the audio either forward or backward to match the video.

I know it's here somewhere but I just can't find it - and yes I have tried for a long time. Please help, I desperately need this guide.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately no. That's the only one I was able to find as well, but the one I'm thinking of specifically referred to finding a scene with a door being closed or slammed as a good thing to use to calculate the audio displacement for obvious reasons.

Could it have been deleted maybe? It was definitely hear on VCDHelp that I saw it. I only use this website, never doom9, so I'm not confused or hallucinating.

Try this one. I did a search for "slamming door audio". Only one thread showed up.
