  1. Could somebody tell me the point of the AUDIO_TS folder? Of the many hundreds of DVD's burned, I've yet to see ANY file in this folder. Are there any DVD's which DO use this folder? Thanks

The folder isn't really necessary. It's mainly for DVD Audio discs.

  3. Hi,

Just to go into this a little deeper. Some (mostly older) dvd player identify a DVD by their folder structure. Because technically the AUDIO_TS folder is a part of the DVD standaard, some players require this folder for the dvd to be recognized as an actual dvd.

In reality, i have never come across a player that didn't play if the AUDIO_TS folder wasn't there. Hell, i even have original dvd's which don't contain that folder..

@ Psycho_Dad_Rules - Spot on, except that I suspect you meant to say the AUDIO_TS folder and not VIDEO_TS as you typed... It's correct if you meant the AUDIO_TS folder.
