  1. I want to convert a xvid file to put on a dvd,i've looked at the 'how to' guide posted on here which says i need to extract the audio first using virtualdub.
When i open the xvid file in virtualdub i get a message saying
"couldn't locate decrompresser for format 'XVID' (unknown)
Virtualdub requires a video for windows (vfw) compatible codec to compress video.Direct shows such as those used by windows media player are not suitable."

    Can anyone help me please

  2. Get the Xvid codec - under tools > codecs on the left.

Buddha says that, while he may show you the way, only you can truly save yourself, proving once and for all that he's a lazy, fat bastard.
