ok...when u first capture a video from your dv camcorder, then u playback the original captured video, it plays smoothly (like 50fps) right?
but then after i edit the dv and convert it to dvd (mpeg2), the video plays back at 25fps (dont look smooth, its like 2 fields blend together and display at the same time). now i cant afford a dvd burner and i dont have a dvd player yet. but i am backing up and making a lot of mpeg2 videos to be ready to burn once i get one burner.
so i want to ask, when i burn the mpeg2 video to a dvd and watch it on tv, will i be watching the smooth (50fps like) video?

You capture at 29.97fps and your DVD will be the same(I'm assuming you live in North America). You're seeing interlacing because you are watching the video on a non-interlaced display(your monitor). It should look fine once you author to DVD.
