  1. please forgive me for my ignorance but I have followed the guide on here using DVD2avi and VFAPI to open in v dub and frameserve to CCE. But everytime I convert the .d2v file in VFAPI and go to open it in v dub it says "cannot detect" Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? The guide had older verisons is there a plugin I need to do this? Thanks in advance.

  2. Did you install the VFAPI codec? In the folder that contains the codec you should see an icon labeled "vifpset.bat". Double click on it to install it. A DOS window will pop up. After it is installed (the DOS window will disappear) convert your d2v file again. It should now open in VDUB.

  4. Can you post a link to the guide you are using?

  5. When you try to open the file in VDUB are you using the d2v file, or the dummy file you created with the VFAPI codec?

  6. I've tried both

  7. In your VDUB folder do you see icons labeled aviproxyon.reg and aviproxyoff.reg?

  8. Click on the aviproxyoff.reg. You will see a message asking if you want to add it to the registry (or something to that effect). Click on yes. After you have done this, try converting the d2v file again and opening the dummy file in VDUB.

  9. hey now!!!! you're a f&^%ing supergenius(????) There's no video in the preview screen is that normal for opening a .d2v file?

  10. No need for sarcasm, I'm trying to help. If the video opens in VDUB you may see a black screen initially. Hit the play button and see if you have a video. By the way, you haven't moved any of the files after you converted have you?

  14. I have one more problem, I got v dub to accept the file thanks to LaddyDaddy, however no video ever shows up in the preview screen. I thought that maybe this was normal and frameserved it to CCE anyways and I got a well encoded black screen file . Anyone have any suggestions? Sorry for being needy
