  1. Is any way to do 'widescreen' avi conversion from DVD?

I just like that avi file play without two black bars on the top & the buttom screen.

  5. Ok, I will use VirtualDub to make new avi file.

I am just not sure if VirtualDub can cut the black bar out in my already made 'old' avi file.

Anyway, the best way to find out that is to try.

    Thanks for the help!

Virtualdub will cut out the black bars when you choose the null transform filter and configure it to chop out the black bars, choose the filter in video and select what compression you want after selecting video full processing.

I don't know, johns0...are you sure it will work? I'm kidding, of course it will work. I just hope vioxx isn't trying to make a 16:9 movie into a 4:3 one.

  8. When I got my 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' few years ago. It turn out 'Full screen'!

    Stupid Warner Brother!

And most of Stanley Kubrick's movies are still in full screen this day!!

In the mean while, just convert widescreen 'Finding Nemo' in 'widescreen'

    Thanks all.........
