I am converting a .avi video file to mpeg 2 format and am not going to convert the audio with it as i was told from the tutorial i was following that the audio should be pcm or compressed some other way other than tmpgenc... so i encoded the video, now how do i get the audio back with the mpeg2 video file i have?

  2. You could extract the wav in VirtualDub, then convert to mp2 or ac3 in ffmpegGUI (freeware). Then author using elementary streams using dvdauthorGUI (also free) or TDA or what ever you like. I've never had any problems with sync doing it that way. Good luck to you.

  4. Best to encode in TMPGEnc for m2v only, but you can do a simple demux in TMPGEnc if you didn't do it that way originally. Convert the audio in ffmpegGUI to ac3 or mp2 and author. It doesn't seem to be all that popular here, but dvdauthorGUI can do the job quite nicely. Just open and click "ADD TITLE", then your m2v file, then the audio file. Adding chapter points is quite simple, then hit "AUTHOR". You can specify that dvdauthorGUI create an ISO image, which you can then burn in DVDDecrypter. Wait 'til done, then burn. Too easy. Hope it goes well for you.
