the couple of movies i have the top and bottom black borders (can never remember if that is widescreen or full screen or what).. is there a way during processing to remove the black bars so i can use my whole tv... will i lose a lot quality if i do so?

Remove them in Virtualdub.
May not lose quality, but the video will appear all stretched vertically.Cheers, Jim

You will lose a third of your picture. This has been discussed many times before. It is the same as hitting the zoom button on your dvd player.
