  1. I have a Xvid Movie file with AC3 soud track. The movie lenght is 1h22:14

I used Virtualdub to extract the AC3 file. After, i converted sound with AC3 Tool.

The final WAV fille lenght is 1h21:55 !!!!! So when i created VCD with TMPGenc, i noticed bad sync.

    What's wrong with that ??

Install the AC3 ACM Decompressor and open the movie with Virtualdub. Go to the audio menu and select "full processing mode" then go to file and select save wav. Try using that wav instead.

  5. Disable the AVI reader in the TMPGEnc VFAPI tab, then try to open directly in TMPGEnc (keep AC3 ACM Decompressor). You may have to "Open / All Files".

The sound will be low but you can Normalize it in TMPGEnc advanced settings.

  6. OK, i will try...

    But i noticed this:

I tried with another tool, HeadAC3he. When i opened the same AC3 file, the software return an error "Could not find AC3 header" !!!

So, i rebuilted the AC3 file with Virtualdub to make sure the file will be OK and i tried another time with HeadAC3he.....Software return the same error...

SO, the only tool that can produce the WAV file at this time is AC3Tool...But the lenght is not the same as movie...

  7. If you extracted with VirtualDub it probably has a WAV header. Use VirtualDubMod to Demux the AC3.

  8. I never use Virtualdub to demux AC3, i don't know how...

Any way, since that i installed AC3ACM decompressor, I use the sound track directly from movie in TMPGenc and it seems to be OK. I know that the sound will not be better quality than true demux process, but i can go ahead now.

After that, i will try a shot with Virtualdub...

    Thanks for all!!!
