The Mustang Ranch is huge, and well-known. Bobby's is more off the beaten path ...the whole town of Tonopah is, about 200 miles N. of Las Vegas at the north end of Nellis Air Force Base. Bobby's is a place popular with the range crew up there. Last time I was in Tonopah Bobby's was still there, but who knows if it is now. That was years ago.Originally Posted by northcat_8
And, since we're talking about Nellis, let me dispel the myth circulated by the conspiracy theorists - there ARE NO ALIENS OR EXTRATERRESTRIAL HARDWARE IN AREA 51. :P I've been there and seen it. No little green men. Sorry.![]()

I told him that if it were a hoax, and since the sea of tranquility is on the earth side of the moon, some geek running the Hubble would have zoomed in on the landing site and found nothing there, instead of seeing the bottom half of the LEM which still sits there. That wouldn't have stayed quiet very long. He said they should zoom in on it to see. I asked him if his parents had any kids that lived -
I didn't start the idea.

By the way, what classification level are you if you can into Area 51. It would have to be "above top secret" wouldn't it? -

I had the WININTEL modifier at the time, so I'm not sure if it was needed since it wasn't mentioned. -

Is what I think they are refering to in terms of the White Sands Missle Range Utah Launch Complex.
Have you got a link for what the classifications are in the US. I know what the Australian ones are because I have a few friends in the defence force. -

Reading those two sites I posted though it seems to contradict most of what the Popular Mechanics article says though.

Got this from the PM article.
Oh, this is priceless."Above Top Secret", like there really is such a classification?
LMFAO
And the fingerprint on the badge???It looks like something hollywood came up with. How completely lame :P
And there's no mention of the bearer's agency affiliation. That's something that's on ALL high-security badges. As is a photo. Sheesh. And it makes no mention of the fact that Area 51 is a DoD facility. Hahaha:P This isn't worth wasting any more time on :P

If I were to hazard a guess I would say that Popular Mechanics would probably use a stock photography service like Corbis for filler photos like that.
Post up a pic of your badge. I want to see if my forgery looks right. -

Once you see a real badge, you'll recognize the one above as something that might come with a "Junior Spy" kit that you'd buy for a child. -
Wouldn't your badges contain things like biometric information, RF chips etc to prevent forgery?

The colored box behind my name identifies it as an outside agency. I substituted VIDEOHELP for the actual agency. The orange color designates it as Top Secret level. It's not my best picture, but it'll do

Wouldn't be the first time I've been investigated by counter intelligence (Indolikaa knows what I'm talking about

It depends really. You've got the main headquarters at the NSA but then you've got the Echelon outposts in different countries.
Because I'm in Australia it would probably be the Shoal Bay/Pine Rivers joint US/Australia facility there doing the intercepts/monitoring. -

That's funny. They are.
Offline CMPC :P

I was offered a job by them as an intelligence analyst specializing in weapons analysis. I turned it down because I didn't want to live in Maryland, and their retirement plan blows. Plus, all that spook stuff generates too much stomach acid. :P -

Damn we maybe could have worked together in a few years time.
True. The NSA has a huge antenna farm in Oz. -

Maybe that was over the top
