    Hello!

Thanks for having this great forum! I've learned a lot by lurking but here are some questions:

    1) Is there any way to export/import a ripped dvd Video_TS folder into Final Cut Express or iMovie?

    2) Now that Fast DVD Copy and DVD Remaster have new updated versions what is the concensus opinion: one step or three steps to a final back up?

    3) New version DVD Remaster or DVD2one?

    4) Is there any way to compress just the audio files and leave the video alone? Which are more compressable with the smallest impact on final quality?

    5) Any way to extract a TiVo file as a disk-to-disk copy rather than real time extraction?

    6) I had a speaking part in an actual "Hollywood" movie circa 1972. I would like to turn the VHS tape of it into a DVD as a back up. I don't know if it has macrovision since I have kept it sealed. Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

I'll just answer #1. A good application for this is DVDxDV. You also can use the Export function of Toast 6. The registered version of MPEG2 Works has a DV exporter application. Miraizon's Cinematize will export to a QuickTime .mov file usable by Final Cut.
