    Sorry if this sounds stupid. If I erase a CD-R, is it safe for me to almost immediately burn something new on it, or is there some kind of cool down period!? Hate to ask...but just don't know!!

    I assume you mean RW ? If so my DVDRW are erased then written immediately without a problem so it would appear you can do it straight away.
