Hi
I am having a few problems burning DVD's at the moment.
The files I am trying to encode are in AVI format. I have been using Nero Vision Express and have found that after a few minutes, the audio starts to go out of sync. I have spoken to someone who said that he had similar problems and changed to Ulead Movie Factory and it works fine.
I downloaded the trial version of this software yesterday and burned a DVD last night, but there is no audio at all on the disc. The audio_TS folder on the disc is empty, and I didnt have much time to mess around with it last night.
Any ideas?

Firstly , the AUDIO_TS folder should be empty all the information on a DVD Video is in the VIDEO_TS folder , the sound is found in the .vob files in there. AUDIO_TS is only used for AUDIO DVDs and is just an empty folder when creating Video DVDs.
One programme AVI to DVD is not a good idea and it is unlikely that you will find one that works for you.
I use TMPGenc Plus to convert tha AVI to Mpeg2 , then TMPGenc DVD Author to Author the DVD with menu's etc and create the VIDEO-TS and AUDIO_TS folders .Then use Nero to Burn it to a DVD-R.
Both TMPGenc programmes have a 30 day trial so at least you can have a go and see if you like them.
It is obviously a bit longer and a bit more to learn , but it WORKS.
It is probably the best software for beginnners.
