I'm trying not to go over 100$ when I buy a new burner, so those two are my only brand name 16x and above cdburners. this is the site I'll probably get my burner off of - http://www.sncomputers.com/?page=shop/browse&category_id=f85e462baf927f8e53989dd969c0e...8a532e2f819b97

just recommend the best burner for the money, thanks.

  2. might I add - I've like a RAW compatiable burner, and one that can over burn 99 min cd's.

well, i bought almost 2 years ago a real crap CDR (LG 8180b). i paid it $49. and i still have it. it burns really great, it burns everything, there are just 2mb of buffer, but i had a buffer-underrun just a few times (burned over 1000 cds). it burns 74/90/99 min cds ... everything. i am using nero for burning.

and i bought it after reading a lot of posts in different forums/boards, and i think that's the best thing you can do. read the posts, read the oppinions ... thats the best way to find the best best hardware.
