  1. I am having a problem with DVD2One, i am trying to back up a copy of ANGEL, i am using DVDbackup to put the files on the HD. I then use DVD2ONE to copmpress them to fit on a single DVD-r.

I have had no problems with this process in the past, until now. When i compress the ANGEL dvd it misses a couple files. I have checked the DVD files with the ones brought in with DVDbackup and they are fine but when i check the DVD2ONE compressed files they arn't there. Any solutions.

This is because DVD2OneX compresses the video, and fits the movie data into fewer files. For example, if there's a title set on the DVD with six files (i.e. VTS_01_0.VOB - VTS_01_6.VOB, each 1 GB), the latter ones will be eliminated, as their data has been compressed into the first couple VOBs. This is normal behavior, and as long as the DVD plays normally, there is nothing to be worried about.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté."

  3. The reason i looked into this is because when i went to test the disc my dvd player said that it could'nt play disc. I have made other dvd's with DVD2ONE and they ahve worked fine.

  4. What files are missing??

Than we know what we are talking about!!

Did you choose "movie only" or full disk copy in dvd2oneX?

Please provide more info when you have problem, with 'it does not work' we can't do anything.

  5. A couple of the .VOB files are missing when i compress, when i check the list from the DVD it looks like a couple of the actual movie files are gone. My settings are set to disc copy, constant ratio and disc size is 4444mb

Simply try to burn twice your movie, but on a better quality DVD.

It could just be a glitch. Sometimes (maybe 1 in 50 for me) a rip fails for reasons unknown (possibly to do with multitasking too much). When I say fail I mean fail without an error message. The ripped copy just doesn't play. Re-ripping fixes it.

Same problems with a burn (more common that rip failure). For example if you are playing UT2004 while burning a DVD in the background .... you get the picture.

A few years ago when CD burners first came out, while burning a CD you couldn't even type in TeachText for fear of slowing your Mac down and screwing up your burn. (Although I am much more relaxed now, I often process with dvd2oneX while burning a DVD _at 1x only_ in the background. I wouldn't try that with a faster burn though.
