  1. When i try and burn a dvd using nero6 or dvd xpress ,I save an image to my temp folder , but when i try to burn back to a blank dvd, nero stops responding. i've only got 1 dvd drive

    I can burn basic files from my docs so dvd recorder does work.

    i've only got a 650 processor & 128mb ram could this be the problem??

    my writer is a lite-on x4

    Try some different freeware like dvddecrypter. I had problems with nero before I hooked it to decrypter

    you might be a little light on the processor speed as well.This is not my forte though.

    What kind of image file are you creating ?. Are you creating them with Nero (NeroVision). If it's an ISO file can you burn it with DVD Decrypter ?. Nero / Nero Express does have a lot of overhead and you are definitely stressing a 650 with 128mb - especially if you are re-encoding the video, OR if you have other programs loaded, OR are shadowing the Bios or Video. IF these are backups of commercial DVD's I would recommend a less resource intensive set of programs (Decrypter and Shrink). If you are authoring the
