    ANOTHER SIMPLE STUPID QUESTION. DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE TO ALWAYS FORMAT DVD-RW DISCS BEFORE YOU BURN ON THEM

    If you are going to use the disk for DLA (drive letter access) which allows you to drag and drop files in explorer, then yes. Otherwise no.

    I don't know about all burn software, but with what I've used- if the disk is formatted for DLA and you're going to use it to burn non-DLA you also have to erase the disk (not just delete the files on the disk).
