  1. Hi There,

I am currently using an MPEG/AVI Joiner program by " BOILSOFT "....It seems that every time you join an AVI OR MPEG you will get a beeping noise right on the joining point when playing back the finished file.

I have used other joining programs since & I have not experienced this problem. I am keen to use the original program as I like some of it's features.

    Can someone please advise further.

    Thanks

    MLOR.

Please Note: Other joining programs used.....Virtual Dub & TMPGEnc.

  2. When you did your testing, did this happen using the same video clips ? Or putting it in other words, when you joined and did not have a problem, was it using the same clip that DID cause the problem in the Boilsoft program ?

if your merging VOB files, your better off using VOBMerge -- I have tried using other merging programs, they usually cause glitches when one VOB ends and another one begins. What I recommend is using the program I named above (VOBMerge) and using Womble mpeg2vcr (sometimes also called "mpeg-vcr") to demultiplex and remultiplex (VOBMerge has problems making the padding stream, so while your VOB will play fine, the running time maybe off as much as 10 mins, and sometimes, video editing programs don't detect the actual time due to the padding stream's miscalculation).

I second the use of Womble MPEG VCR. Most of those "EZ Video Joiner" programs are crap.

  5. I'm not so favourable of Womble, i've had it crash a lot of times and generate non compatible files. I'd prefer TMPGEnc instead whenever possible

my problem with tmpgenc is that its horrible at demultiplexing and remultiplexing corrupt video streams. besides that, i use it frequently for simple conversions which dont require editing.

  7. Interesting, i've never had problems with Demuplexing and Multiplexing using TMPGEnc before. Always worked smooth for me, oh well, each to his own

  9. @Aznmask, people recommand other programs which can also do joining. I don't see what's wrong with that.
