  1. What I want to do is take out the comercials out of my mpeg2 file.
I have used a tv tuner card to capture the show but I don't want the comercials.
What is the best program to use and if there is a link to a guide that would be great.
I can do it in virtualdub but then can't save as a mpeg2.
Any thing would be great thanks.

  2. Womble Mpeg-VCR will save the edited file as a Mpeg-2 file. This software was well written, as it is very user friendly. A good guide is located at: http://www.dvdguideuk.dsl.pipex.com/dvdguide/editing1/editing1.htm

If you're making a DVD with it, then you can edit the commercials out when you do the authoring process... using something like TMPGEnc DVD Author.

I think Doom9 has an excellent guide on this tool
(You'll find that in a guide covering the capture and editing
of DVB broadcasts (guide/tv-capture/dvb to dvdr, there you'll
find a link to "dvb basic" where mpeg2schnitt is explained).
