Has anyone ever heard of/used these and are they any good? Saw these over at supermediastore.com. They are $29.00 plus shipping for a 50 pk.

How about Linkyo DVD-R? The media codes are GSC00x right? With all the fans of supermediastore, I am surprised nobody has tried these yet.

I have a grudge against Prodisc. I will never buy their media again.

I hear rumors that the LINKYO +R is good ... but that's just whispers in my ear, nothing I or anybody I know has thoroughly tested yet

Thanks guys, I think that I will just stick to the name brand stuff just to be on the safe side.

  8. I've tried Linkyo dvd+r, good media.
The CSR from supermediastore tell me that Linkyo media is manufactured in Taiwan from a SONY OEM manufacturer.
Prodisc dvd-r media is good for me but not good luck for dvd+r.
I'm very happy with Linkyo dvd+r at this cost.

Nobody has YET tried Linkyo media??? I can't believe it. I am in need of some cheap media for stuff for other people (I use Maxells for myself). The Linkyo DVD-R media seems like it could be alright for the price but I would at least like to hear of one person use it.

I do not want to start a discussion about Prodisc, but the economics of the situation mean it will be a while before someone tries Linkyo. They are currently more expensive and lower rated campared to Prodisc. Maybe now that prices are going back up someone will take the plunge but it will probably be someone such as yourself who won't use Prodisc anymore.
Still a few bugs in the system...

  11. Well I tested the Linkyo DVD-R inkjet media from Supermeidastore.com.

    Media code is GSC002
    Tried 2 burners, Sony DRU-500A and I/O Magic External 8X IDVD8DME
They both burn with no problems and the DVD played on 3 different home players. APEX AD1130W, SAMPO DVE631CF and Sanyo DVW-7000 with no problems.

From the testing I have done I would say can not beat the price and it works.

Thank you bobsegal, your post puts me one step closer to buying those discs. I was planning to buy the matte ones so hopefully they are the same. Hope the weather is good in Florida.

Gee, it's worth all the time and trouble to author or ripp the dvd and to burn it, but not worth a 75 cent disk??
