I liked the handheld Football QB Challenge game. You vs. the "computer"...players were dots you moved up, down, left and right....hours and hours on that one....
I loved Tempest....Track and Field (with the buttons not the trac-ball)....Pole Position....Zaxxon!!!!
Also, non video-game, i loved Chexx Bubble Hockey, USA vs. USSR. The "boo button" was the bomb. -

Karateka (damn that bird used to shit me off)
10 yard fight (the original and best gridiron game)
time pilot (much like asteroids except you were up against fighter planes from the war eras)

Carrier Aces is a RARE SNES game, but it was extremely fun. They were trying to give more virtual realm rather than the classic arcade game 'Dog Fight' which was also fun. 'Dog Fight' was a nice upgrade from an airplane version of 'TANK' from ATARI. The cool thing about Carrier aces was that you could be a boat fighting incoming aircraft, Some kind of land bunker, or any 1 of several different planes. It was taken a step further with the PC game Air Warrior. Air Warrior III was the best of the games, but it didn't seem to take off very well. It was an early networking game where you could have from 1 and up to 8 people in certain planes. The problem was very few people used the networking systems at that time. Quake, Warcraft II, and a few other games had networking capabilities, but people played them more often as single player campaigns. As networking became more popular, Air Warrior seemed to fade away. Air Warrior was also ahead of it's time because you needed a fast computer to play it too. You could bog down the network very easily with only 8 players. Add 40 and you better hope everyone is above 1GHz with alot of fast RAM.

Hello,
I still loved Chuck Yeagers Ace Combat. That was a beautiful game. Even though the graphics were somewhat weak the physics were awesomeYou felt like you were flying a plane. The pull was there and I loved the "blackouts"
