  4. Thank you very much, the problem is that this VOB file contains 4 sound track in different languages, and i don`t want to lose any of them. Do you know a simple cutter for this operation ? This VOB file is 1Gb large and i want to cut it in 2 equal parts. Is it possible to appear delays on some audio tracks in the second half ? Thank you again !

This may be a silly question, but why do you want to split the file if it is only 1GB ?

  6. I want to store them on 2 normal cd`s. The original file is ~1,1 Gb. Split in 2 parts should fit on 2 cd`s at 650 Mb. Thank you again.

  8. If you just want those files as files, you can use a great little program, which can spilt ALL kind of files into whatever size you like, it is called HJSplit get it at
    www.freebyte.com/hjsplit/

I believ it was made for storing things on floppydisks, and email applications, but i use it for all kinds of things. there is also a linux version out

  9. Thank you. You are a funny guy. But if you had a little movie would you like to keep it stored on a CD in a format that does`nt permit you to play it directly, but only after you copy both CD`s in the HDD (need >1 Gb) recreate the hole file (another >1Gb) so after a few minutes you could play the little movie... I also ure WINRAR to do the think you do, you can set the files size to any value and compression ("store" for maximum speed) and it`s a huge advantage:anybody can reunite the files because everybody has a WINRAR in it`s computer.

Not exactly. Windows XP can handle zip files but not rars. One would have to download WinRAR.

On the other hand i discovered that the last version of WINZIP can also split files like WINRAR did years ago. Anyway, that was a way out of question.
