O.K. I need to give some background on this one first. I have two DVD standalone players. Old one and New One. New One bought because Old One was giving me trouble with some DVDs rented and owned when scratched. New One works fine with everything. In order to keep DVDs from scratching I figured out I could back them up. All backups have been working properly in both DVD standalone. Now I bought Pirates of the Caribbean DVD "used" for very low price in a video store, and tried to make a backup out of it (too scratched to see in OLD one).

Now for thereal problem.

After trying several ways to back it up. DVD srhink, vob edit, ifoedit, rejgig, Ive even tried using AVItoSVCD which you can set up to do a DVD to DVD, usually doing the final burn with NERO. I dont know whatt else to try. I keep coming up with backups that only play on my OLD DVD standalone. The problen in the NEW is that it seem to be making some annoying frameskipping every now and then (video only), but I dont understand why it doesnt do it in the OLD ONE.

I gave all this background because I dont know if this movie has some protection or something that ive been missing throught all my processes.

By the way, I always use the same media MEMOREX which I know is not the best quality from what ive read in forums but it seemed to be working fine up till this movie. I ve also bought SONY DVD-RW media to stop wasting my blank CDs and the problem continues.

By the way new Stand alone is a TOSHIBA DS-3960 SU and the old one is a SONY DVP-NS300sc, dont think it matter much.
