I have been getting conflicting responses from different people on this and I'd like to get the opinion of the experts here. I am capping TV shows like Enterprise and Buffy, and am encoding them to SVCD. Now, I have been using IVTC on them but I don't like the way it works (I get skips every once in a while). I have heard that I can simply encode interlaced if I want. But I have also heard this is a very bad idea.
Is this possible? Do all SVCD players support interlaced video? Is it 'ok' to encode a film source interlaced?
Thanks a lot!
