    New firmware was released today for all DRU-500 drives. The only difference from the previous firmware version I can see is it says that it's supposed to increase readability on the the new dual layer writable disks that are coming out.

    I haven't tried it yet.

    Well I installed it and successfully burned both a DVD+RW and a CD-RW.

    So it seems to work just as well as the 2.0h firmware for me.
