  1. Ok, I am new to OGG to DVD and my experience with authorizing dvds is extremely limited. I know how to convert vcd and svcd to dvd using TMPG ENC Plus and Tmpg DVD Author. Can someone help me or at least point me in the right direction as to how I would be able to take the OGG file and convert it to DVD? I know I am going to have to use BEsweet on the audio because it is at 44100 not 48000(i think thats it). I don't know exactly what to do first or how to even start . I also run into the problem of the subtitles. How would I go about implying them in the movie so I could have it show up on the dvd? I can get other programs if needed.

Convert to DVD mpeg with TMPGEnc. It would be a good idea to encode the video only. Stick to your plan of processing the audio in Besweet. Check out this post courtesy of dafreak for info on how to retain subtitles. Post back if you have any problems.

  3. TMPG doesn't recongnize the ogg file. Do I have to do something first before I attempt to encode the video and audio. I am really new to this, so any help is appreciated.

I'm not trying to be difficult here but do a search for "ogm tmpgenc" and you'll find lots of info. There's another thread below that has some good info too. All you need to do is scroll down.

  5. tmpgenc does not like ogg audio, so you have to process the video and audio separately.

    video
-rename you ogm files to avi so that tmpgenc can recognize the file.
-when you open up tmpgenc, close out of the wizard and select ES (elemantary stream) video only.
-load the file you want to convert.
-if it adds a path for the audio then delete the path so the audio path is blank.
-set all the settings for dvd-compliant mpg2 and click start.

    audio
-you will have to demux the audio using virtualdubmod
-load the avi (renamed ogm) file into vd
-click on stream | stream list
-right click on the stream you want and select full processing
-right click on the stream again and click on convert. make sure it is 48000 mhz, if not place a dot next to it and click ok
    -click on save wave
-save the file to your hd (i usually name the wave file the same name as the video file and in the same directory.)

optional: use ffmpeggui to convert the wave to ac3

you should end up with an m2v and wave or ac3 file
use your favorite authoring program such as tmpgenc dvd author or dvd-lab to create menus, chapters and to multiplex the video/audio together.
