  1. A lot of the movies I have burnt recently are playing on my DVD player just fine, but not on my PC. They will start playing, but eventually the program freezes. I have tried WinDVD, PowerDVD, ATI DVD, on multiple machines. All the movies play flawlessly on my Philips DVP-642 (which I now highly recommend, for this reason, it plays EVERYTHING). Has anyone else encountered something like this? Anything I can do about it? System specs:

XP 2400+, XP Pro, DVD burner - Lite-On LTR-411S (also tried on a friend's comp, same result)

  2. Driver or mpeg2 codec issue perhaps. Remove ATI drivers and then
download the latest from www.ati.com. including the ATI DVD driver. If things still fail, remove ATI drivers and re-install without the ATI DVD drivers.

    -edit-

The ATI DVD driver is included in the free MMC download - seperate
    from the ATI Catalyst drivers.
