This is cut n pasted from another thread I answered:

Here are a few tips to help get your question(s) answered:

    1. Title you post according to your question. "NEED HELP FAST!!!!" or "I'M FED UP" are not the same as "Trying to convert Xvid to SVCD" (for example).

    2. Completely fill out your specs in your profile. People will be able to diagnose your problem when they have some reference. Instead of "Answer: Use Windows program X. Thread starter: I can't. I'm on a Mac.", you'll get "You can't use DVD-RW because that drive only accepts DVD+RW. Nothing else."

    3. read, Read, READ the guides. There's tons of info, and most guides almost literally hold your hand through the processes.

    BONUS TIP:
Don't type in ALL CAPS. It implies shouting and is very rude.

    ---------------------------------------------------
After reading the above, answer these questions:

    1. How big is the original DVD? That is, will it fit on a DVDR?

    2. Did you rip the disc to a VIDEO_TS folder, or individual VOBs/chapters?

    3. What are you using to author? Or are you re-authoring?

    4. What are you using to burn? Nero? DVDDecrypter?

Please lose the caps too. You don't come across looking very bright if you type in all caps.

Yeah, and regular typing would be more polite
