  1. I have a WinTV Go that captures an AVI with the audio in mono. I use VirtualDub to extract the audio and then Tmpgenc to put the video and audio back together in an MPG (helps a lot with A/V sync to do it that way, instead of just pulling audio straight from the AVI).

If I do an ordinary "Save WAV" in VirtualDub, it creates a stereo audio file with sound in the left channel and silence in the right. I have figured out that if I choose "Left" under Channels under Audio/Conversion, that it will create a mono file of just the left channel (the one with sound in it).

I can then use another tool to turn that mono file into stereo (with the sound in both channels). But I'm trying to figure out how to make VirtualDub do this in the same pass instead. I have looked at the audio filters, and they look promising. However, any filter I use winds up giving me an "unconnected input pins" error.

I'd appreciate either a solution to my specific problem or a point to some basic tutorials on how to use VirtualDub's audio filters.

  2. Virtualdub got an audio filter named Input, and another named Output, those must be used, then drag with left mousebutton to draw the lines from input to your filter, from your filter to output, DEL key deletes a line and so on.
