I like the look of the optorite DD0405, but am also looking at the Pioneer DVR-107. The optorite is the latest version of their dvd drives.
As with most situations, there seem to be good and bad reviews/experiences,
so i wondered if anyone here has any comments.
I understand that a lot of the Pioneer glitches have been ironed out with the 1.13 firmware?
They seem to be similarly specced:

    8x DVD-/+R , 4x DVD-/+RW, 24x CDRW ,
    Pioneer 24x CDR, Optorite 40x CDR , 2MB buffer ,
and the optorite has slightly better access times.

I am swaying to the optorite for the 40x CDR, but i would rather have a reliable burner at any speed.
    TIA.

  2. Most people would recommend the Pioneer!
Better DVDR burn quality and media compatibility on the A07.
