allright today i got my ADVC-100 in the mail and so far absolutly no complaints (btw, not using a TBC but the tapes tested on were fairly new) anyways. Im on very limited hard drive space at the moment, (around 20 gigs) and as you know that fills up VERY quickly using the standard AVI format. is there a program i can use to capture straight to mpeg2? i know its a bad idea because its harder to edit... but untill i can get a new hard drive I'd like to test it out =)

Mainconcept Encoder will take a DV stream and convert it directly to MPG2 on the fly.
